A cooler day for Coach Training and some great coaching and riding. We did some vaulting – which I believe is an important option for coaches to consider in their rider Training Programs. Coach Training is on every Wednesday at Team J. Come along and join our interactive training group. You can train and be assessed f...or your EA Riding, Horse management and coaching certificates to all levels. You can bring your horse or ride one of ours. Cost is $85 per head. Time is from 10am to 2pm. We also run updating clinics and two day workshops at regular intervals. • How to meet the needs of different students with a range of experience, skills, problems,

• How to cater for different learning styles, adults vs juniors, males vs females.
• What exercises you can use for training horses and riders of all levels,
• How to prevent coach “burnout” and maintain professional development
• How to integrate dressage and jumping training.

Bachelor of Physical Ed 1978, Chairman of the Coaching Council for Canadian Equestrian Federation, Chairman of Coaching for Horse Trials Canada, CEF contract to lead the re-structuring of the Coaching Licensing Program in Canada, Canadian Equestrian Federation (CEF) Level 3 Coach since 1987, 30 years of riding and training horses for jumping, eventing and open jumpers, Coached four Provincial 3DE teams at Canada games for three gold medals, Coached four Young Rider teams to the FEI North American Young Riders Championship and Event teams, Coached four individuals who were short- and long-listed for the Canadian 3DE team, and one individual and one reserve rider for the Pan Am team in 1999 (Trish Dahms and Suzy Pettman), Coached three riders who qualified for the Canadian Equestrian Team Medal finals in jumping.

Christine is an experienced EA NCAS Level 2 Coach and Coach Educator and has competed and taught showjumping, eventing and dressage at all levels. Christine also offers weekly Coach Training sessions for trainees working towards their EA Horse Management, Riding & Coaching Cerificates and Accreditation. Having taught Horse Management to Diploma level in the NSW TAFE system and for five years at Marcus Oldham College in Victoria, Christine has a sound background in Horse husbandry and Business Management to compliment her practical riding and coaching skills. Christine is a member of the NSW PCA’s paid instructors panel and is a member of the NSW NCAS Advisory panel. She offers training for groups and individuals preparing for their Coach assessments and to riders wanting to improve their personal skills. A wonderful day at Team J again.Showjumping, dressage, cross country and coach training. Great to see Denise back in the saddle after an injury layoff.Great riding by Marguerite, some terrific lateral work and jumping!Coach training continues well with Suan , Larra and Rachelle showing steadyimprovement and looking good for the exam in a couple of weeks. Albury Regional Dressage Clinic 7th & 8th August 2010

I went down to Albury on 7th and 8th August to conduct a Regional dressage Clinic for the Pony Club Association. Riders for the school ranged from Prelim to Elementary, with the majority being in the middle – prelim/novice.Most have entered for the State Dressage Champs to be held in 3 weeks time at the Albury Equestrian Centre and this regional clinic was an excellent preparation for them. Zone Chief Instructor, Mary lou Hodges did a terrific job organising the
clinic, with 18 riders attending from Jindera, Wirlinga, Batlow, Holbrook,
Culcairn, Tumbarumba, Tumut and PYC pony clubs. I loved the students and was
delighted with their improvement over the weekend. I will be returning to
the Zone 20 area to conduct an NCAS Coaches Clinic at Holbrook on 21st and 22nd August.

As part of Team J Coach Training preparation for the level 1 exams in September, three of our trainees and I went out to SIEC to act as demonstration riders (and assistants) for the assessment. This is a great opportunity to experience the atmosphere and sense the procedures for the final assessment they will have to undertake. Well done Tash, Larra and Rochelle. Due to this coach excursion we wont be holding our usual Wednesday training session tommorrow 28th July. Please contact me if you had anticipated coming tommorrow. We will resume Coach Training at Team J next Wed 4th August.
